I have an Android device and it shows error: java.security.cert.certpathvalidatorexception

If you have an Android device running Android 4.4.4 or lower you might see the following error message when loading the app: java.security.cert.certpathvalidatorexception

You will see this error because your device is running a version of Android that is no longer supported, and therefore does not get the latest security certificate updates.

The first thing to do is to update your devices version of Android to version 5 or above, this should allow your device to accept the newer security certificates.

If you are unable to update your devices version of Android then please download and install the following security certificates:

QuoVadisRootCA2G3.cer

QuoVadisGlobalSSLICAG3.cer

Once installed close down the app, and start it up again. All being well it should now work as expected.
