Explain Everything

Explain Everything is an app for Apple, Android, Chrome and Windows 10 touch-screen devices that enables you to create engaging video learning resources.

Tutors have used it to record writing, drawing and explaining the solution to equations. It is capable of much more. You can include images, PDFs, web pages, video and audio, and can easily animate and annotate these. Edit features mean that you don’t have to record in ‘one take’ and can correct mistakes.

It works across devices from low-cost Android tablets to iPad Pros, using a basic stylus to write on the screen.

If you are happy with Explain Everything, contact Digital Learning for the Educational licence.

This tool is commonly used by academics in the School of Mathematical Sciences as it is great for exploring and solving mathematical expressions.

The tool has recently been optimised to ensure accessible colour choices are set by default. Learn more about how can we make accessible text colour choices at the University of Southampton.
