SeaCity Museum is hosting Wildlife Photographer of the Year in association with the Natural History Museum in London. This stunning exhibition showcases some of the best talent from around the world. Almost 50,000 entries were whittled down to 100 finalists and winners between 15 categories, and the results are truly breath-taking!

The atmosphere in the exhibition is relaxing and allows the viewer to take in the quality and skill on display. The photographs are displayed using lightboxes which help to bring out the detail of the imagery. As well as the static lightboxes, there’s a 5-minute film of the people’s choice – 25 images chosen from 100 runners-up by a popular vote.

Three of my favourites from the exhibition are ‘Alley Cat’, ‘Beware a mother bear’ and, from the People’s Choice film, ‘Breakfast Time’ – be sure to watch out for these! You can buy postcards of a number of the photographs from the SeaCity shop. Of course, to enjoy them all in their full glory you need to come and see the exhibition in person!
