Surveying potential users

By considering the functions of our platform, the potential users of our platform will target the group of people who are going to learn a foreign language to study or live in somewhere of foreign countries and seek for help or advice.

Our interview is going to find out the group of people who have the plan to study abroad or live in a foreign country in next few years. I will choose some of my Chinese friends who are former high school classmates of mine. I will ask each of them ten questions via WeChat. The messages or audio will not be recorded, I will only take notes of valuable information for results analysis.

Interview questions:

  1. Do you have any plans for studying or living abroad, and if so, where are you going?
  2. How long are you going to stay there?
  3. How much do you know about the place where you are going to go?
  4. Do you need a second language to support your study and daily life there? Do you have confidence in your existing language level? How do you want to improve your language skills?
  5. Do you have any concerns or fears about going to an unfamiliar city in the different cultural environment and different language circumstance?
  6. How much information you have learned through existing social media tools, and how do you feel and evaluate the process?
  7. What kinds of the information do you want to know before you go to that place?
  8. If there is a platform that gives you the opportunity to improve your language and communicate and share experiences with people who have lived in that city, how do you think about it, or will you use it?
  9. What do you expect from a platform like this?
  10. Is there any additional information you need to add to this interview?

The interview will take place only after we get the approval from ERGO.
