Introducing our group
- Ian Coombs – MSc Web Science. With a first degree in Geography and a second in educational leadership his current areas of interest include considering how schools should prepare young people for a world mediated through social media.
- Matthew Langford – MEng Computer Science. Having studied both art and computer science, I have an interest in how computers convey visual information, and how users interact with electronic systems.
- Sefika Varlioglu – studying in the Web Technology department in University of Southampton. She has received her BSc in Computer Engineering Department of Ankara University. Her interests are in the area of Web-based applications, Web Services, Wireless Sensor Network and RFIDs & applications. She has completed several projects in wireless sensor signals and their database management together with position detection of objects in indoors during undergraduate degree. After graduation, she worked in Ankara University as web developer.
- Ziqi Zheng – MSc in Digital Business and Entrepreneurship. With a first degree in International Business. Now interested in how social media help people learn a foreign language or change the way of learning.
Easter 2018 Update
Sadly Matthew left the University of Southampton over the Easter vacation. We are grateful for his contribution to the project and wish him well for the future.
