Meet the Team – Michael Davies

Michael Davies I’ll be attending between the 29th and the 31st to help out and work with Peter on making little prints, probably woodcuts and monoprints in response to the objects excavated at the site. My work has been of abstract landscapes as of late, so to explore treasures underneath the surface will be an exciting experience and possibly something I can take away with me for inspiration as to where my own work can develop in the future. Meet the Team – Peter Driver

What you are going to be doing at Basing House? Peter, our talented Artist in Residence I will be ‘Artist in Residence’ during the excavation. I am not certain yet about what kind of work I will make in response to the project. I imagine it will involve a lot of drawing, possibly making woodcut prints and generating a set of ‘zines’ reflecting the activities and progress of the project. Continue reading →
