reflexively,
ritually,
appropriate animal suffering
for solemn admonitions
about human suffering?

Because itā€™s not tragic enough
on its own?)

You may reply,
“Yes,
but why do you always
turn it in this direction?”

Maybe because most
keep turning it in the otherā€¦
