The 12 week project looked at designing and preparing an electrochemical flow cell by an additive manufacturing technique, ultrasonic consolidation. Elements of the proposal were successful: we could prepare the reactor and embed thermocouples for reaction monitoring. However, due to the limited time, we could not achieve a fully working prototype. Nonetheless, the project provided valuable preliminary results that we are using in related projects. The preliminary results have been used in H2020 proposals, and will be used in future RCUK proposals.
