This year’s speakers list starts to look very promising.
Nick Ashton, curator of Palaeolithic and Mesolithic collections at the British Museum, will be visiting us in early November to talk about Early Palaeolithic in Britain. We also have out Christmas Lecture speaker: it is dr Penny Spikins, from the University of York, who will present ’Angels or Demons?: Can the archaeological record tell us what motivated our earliest ancestors?’ And the New Year will start with Natasha Reynolds, from the University of Oxford, whose work focuses on the Upper Palaeolithic of Russian steppe. The lineup looks really exciting so far but there is much more to come so watch this space!
