When writing a scientific report, it is important to remember the questions you asked, the Hypothesis you created, and all the Data collection you did. This can all be seen on The Scientific Process page. After you have considered that, there are a number of steps you can take, but your scientific report should include a(n):
- Title page
- Abstract
- Introduction
- Methods section
- Results section
- Conclusion
- Discussion
- References
- Appendix
Many researchers have their own way of writing all of this up, and very few will write these sections in the order they would appear in a scientific paper. Perhaps try starting out writing your method, a section you should be familiar with, and then it might be easier to move on to results or introduction sections. Find what works for you!
