The resources on these pages include a workbook intended to accompany the boat trip, a fully resourced KS3 scheme of work, and additional homework assignments. The lessons within the scheme of work can be taught as a whole unit or as individual lessons covering areas such as over fishing, pollution and feeding relationships. There are also various project type activities including polar bear tracking. Online samples of the activities can be found in the student area of the website.
The workbook and the scheme of work are available on the tool bar above, as are some homework tasks and extra tasks to give to students. These are password protected, and you can request access to the teaching resources by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
If you would like to arrange for a researcher to visit your school or class to work with students on a particular area of marine science please use the contact details on the main Discover Oceanography site to discuss the possibilities.
