The Story of Us is a charity- based application, which would be free of charge for its members. The initial business plan is to contact local funeral homes to fund our idea in exchange of free advertisement on the app. The plan is to expand to regional funeral homes after the app has taken off and the user base has expanded. Another possible revenue stream would be through donation from organisation. Further, we welcome any voluntarily work which allows financial resources to be spend further on app maintenance. By actively recruiting and training volunteers we will be able to provide high-quality service through the implementation of Volunteer Practice Guidelines.
Benefits
People signing up for this app are processing the loss of a beloved person. Some of them feel that they cannot talk to their family or friends about this loss since they would be a burden to them. The Story of Us application allows them to take their time to grief and receive the support they need. This may be through chats or meet-ups with other user’s, or exchanging their different experiences on the forum. The app also enables users to directly contact a counsellor.
