Scenario: This storyboard depicts the loss of a parent and the grieving process that may be felt by teenagers.
16-year-old Charlotte has recently lost her mother in a car accident. Her father is overwhelmed, dealing with the loss of his wife, and being the sole carer of Charlotte and her sister Bella. Charlotte’s friends become increasingly concerned and try to reach out, but Charlotte doesn’t feel like they can relate to the pain and feelings of loss she is experiencing. Through the Story of Us, Charlotte meets Emily, who has also lost her mother recently to Cancer and the two girls quickly bond and find comfort in sharing their stories and emotions. Through the application, Emily and Charlotte meet other local adolescents who have also lost a parent, they are all in contact on a regular basis and lean on each other during the tough days.
