What to do at acceptance
Acceptance video (4 min.)
You will receive an email from the Editor confirming that your article has been accepted: congratulations!Â
Actions for the corresponding authorÂ
Finalise your articleÂ
- Check, sign and submit the author agreementÂ
- Check that all co-authors consent to publish and are accountable for their contributionsÂ
- Make any final edits to the manuscript and proofread it one last timeÂ
- Check you have selected the appropriate Creative Commons license if your article is being published open access (many funders require CC BY, which is the Creative Commons Attribution license)Â
Have you requested a University of Southampton dataset DOI?Â
- Finalise the dataset and ReadMe file in PureÂ
- Contact researchdata@soton.ac.uk asking for the DOI to be made liveÂ
University of Southampton Open Access PolicyÂ
- Create a record in Pure for your journal article and upload your Author Accepted Manucript. This is the version of your paper incorporating all changes resulting from peer review but without any publisher brandingÂ
Publishing feesÂ
- Are you expecting any publishing fees?Â
- Check the invoice will be sent to the correct address (typically by email) and that you have funds in placeÂ
- If the Library has approved open access costs from one of our funder block grants, forward the invoice to eprints@soton.ac.uk  Â
