What to do at acceptance
Acceptance video (4 min.)
You will receive an email from the Editor confirming that your article has been accepted: congratulations!
Actions for the corresponding author
Finalise your article
- Check, sign and submit the author agreement
- Check that all co-authors consent to publish and are accountable for their contributions
- Make any final edits to the manuscript and proofread it one last time
- Check you have selected the appropriate Creative Commons license if your article is being published open access (many funders require CC BY, which is the Creative Commons Attribution license)
Have you requested a University of Southampton dataset DOI?
- Finalise the dataset and ReadMe file in Pure
- Contact researchdata@soton.ac.uk asking for the DOI to be made live
University of Southampton Open Access Policy
- Create a record in Pure for your journal article and upload your Author Accepted Manucript. This is the version of your paper incorporating all changes resulting from peer review but without any publisher branding
Publishing fees
- Are you expecting any publishing fees?
- Check the invoice will be sent to the correct address (typically by email) and that you have funds in place
- If the Library has approved open access costs from one of our funder block grants, forward the invoice to eprints@soton.ac.uk
