Character Design and Sequential Illustration

“My aim when teaching this module is to reinforce the importance of effective verbal and visual communication with peers, teachers, colleagues and patients. I try to provide the conditions that will foster an open minded approach; workshops not only include drawing, painting, model making, collage, typography and illustration but also exercises to improve story-telling skills, listening skills and students’ ability to empathically understand the audience/patient. My hope is that students learn to see their patients as equals, communicate successfully using the appropriate language or visuals and be able to empathise with them as if they were in their shoes.”
