This month we will be talking about the relationship between fashion and culture. Not only we will be reflecting on how fashion could make our identity but also how it could influence our mood and emotions.

‘The Intercultural Café’ is an initiative proposed by the Intercultural Connections Southampton Team. The idea behind the scheme is to establish a monthly meeting of people from both within and outside the University of Southampton community in an informal, sociable café setting to engage in intercultural exchange. It will aim to provide a space for people to meet, chat and share information about different cultures. The idea is very similar to that of a ‘Language Café’ but whereas these types of meetings tend to focus around the practice and sharing of foreign languages, the ‘Intercultural Café’ will not require any previous language proficiency and will solely focus on the exchange of intercultural knowledge, experience and observations.
