Olayinka Sobamiwa

My summer school trip to China, Xiamen was truly eventful; full of lots to do and learn. We went on company tours, university visits and attended many lectures which related to China and their cultural heritage.

One of my most memorable nights was when we had a welcome dinner at a local restaurant as it was the first time we had ever tried such different delicacies. It was also really insightful talking to the volunteers from Xiamen University and Tan Kah Kee College (TKK) about the differences in terms of Chinas schooling system which we found to be much more difficult than ours.

The cultural visits in their own right were worth making the journey! We traveled all over Xiamen to visit many old cultural sights that all had great significance to the development of the Xiamen province.
