More and more things fall into place. Today, the GPS receiver arrived. This is a big deal because there is quite a process behind acquiring a GPS receiver that works in space. The first challenge was to find a receiver that fits physically into the CubeSat and is suitable for our purposes. In addition, GPS receivers will not work when they move faster than 500 m/s and that speed is easily exceeded in space. In order to get this GPS receiver, the Canadian government had to approve the removal of the 500 m/s speed limit. So, after finding the best supplier and successfully overcoming some bureaucratic hurdles (which were not too bad in the end thanks to the support of our supplier and fast processing by the Canadian government), we now have the main sensor for our mission.
