Ellie Kirby, a Biological Sciences graduate, spent the summer undertaking the research project ‘ Investigating the temperature-mediated response of the core clock gene period in a Drosophila melanogaster model’ within the lab of Herman Wijnen. Ellie graduated this year with a first class degree in Biology and has accepted a PhD studentship within Biological Sciences under the supervision of Matthew Terry, Lindy Holden-Dye and Vincent O’Connor.
