The MRC LEC hosts research programmes at all levels of undergraduate and postgraduate medical training, from undergraduate medical student research projects, to 4-month research secondments as part of the Academic Clinical Foundation Programme Our particular expertise is in identifying talented young clinicians, and providing the mentoring and guidance necessary to secure a steady pipeline of academically-able, committed clinical academics with the skills to needed forge a successful long-term independent career. A particular strength of this Centre is its excellent international collaborations.
