As part of the Equality and Diversity committee we will be running some training sessions throughout the academic year, specifically for post-docs in Biological Sciences. These will cover a range of exciting topics (!?) including working abroad, working with industry and writing/reviewing manuscripts, which we hope you will find useful.

Our first session will be on ‘Fellowships’ and hosted by Dr Tom Ezard and Dr Diego Gomez-Nicola who will chat about their experiences in writing and gaining independent fellowship funding from NERC and MRC.

The sessions will be very informal with lots of time for Q + A. This first grouping will be held in B85/6003 on Wed 9th November 10-11.30 am. There is no age limit and academics are also welcome to come along and share experiences! There may also be doughnuts. We hope to see you there.

Thanks and best wishes
