Assignments due next week.

What should I do over the weekend?

– Not those.

Oooh, pretty lanterns.

To commemorate my first post on the USMC blog, I shall write this post whilst enjoying a cup of hot coffee, my first love.

*go makes some coffee*

Now, I’m ready.

With two assignments and one online test (all due the following week) residing under my to-do list, classes for the week ended on a beautiful Friday afternoon. The last lecture of the day was Math where, as usual, Dr. Gan does his best to squeeze in as much material as possible into the lecture.

You’re the best, Dr. Gan!

That evening, I had to attend my netball club’s weekly training which are held at a basketball court and played with a basketball.

We need funds.

The sky was dark by the time training was over and the team went out to grab some dinner. I knocked out the moment I got back to my room at the student hostel afterwards.

That was the end of Day 1 of where I needed to complete my assignments.

Productive, I’d say.

– The following day –

Saturday was the day the Dota 2 tournament organised by the Student Association started but it was also the day that the University of Reading held its Open Day.

Conclusion: Food always comes first.

I made a stop at the university in the morning to see how the tournament was going, only to watch my classmates lose to our juniors. Good job anyways, guys.

It was then off to Reading for lunch.

Sadly, only tea time food was served unlike the previous Open Days they had. That said, I absolutely enjoyed the free banana cake and curry puffs.

Their campus was also as amazing as ever.

After that, I headed back to the hostel to work on my paper plane folding skills as there was a Paper Plane Competition (organised by the USMC IET On Campus) later that day.

Not bad at all.

Now, let the paper plane competition begin!

More photos on flickr.

Well, all that practice I did was for naught as I didn’t win any prize money.

That aside, do check out the photos and videos taken by the event crew as well because they are awesome.

And show them some support by liking their Facebook page!

End of Day 2.

While some of my friends started off their Sunday by competing in the second day of the Dota 2 tournament, I started mine off doing some chores.

The tournament finals was about to start by the time I was done and so I decided to become a spectator.

An hour later and Round 1 refused to end.

I had to take my leave as I was going to the Daiwa House’s Japanese Music Festival held at Sunway Iskandar Sales Gallery. Rather than a music festival, it was more like a short series of performances. The event was held to showcase Sunway Bhd. and Daiwa House’s new housing development project and other upcoming projects at Sunway Iskandar.

Day 3 (i.e. My weekend) ended with good food,

and no assignments completed.

Time to burn the midnight oil.

Crastinate is a word?
