Zarah Akhavan-Moossavi, Drama Club Intern at Nuffield Southampton Theatres (NST), shares her aspirations for the role.
My internship at the Nuffield Southampton Theatres (NST) is one that I take up with great excitement and interest. I am entering the role of a Drama Club Assistant, a role that allows me to exercise the creative interest and theatrical passion that led me to studying drama throughout my school education. I helped to assist teachers during my time at Sixth Form giving me a small amount of experience in a similar role. Throughout my internship I hope to gain experience in teaching as I will complete my PGCE after I graduate, alongside enhancing my communication skills with colleagues, in order to deliver everything that is asked of me. I hope to learn about the production of performances and different ways of storytelling from my colleagues and importantly the students. I am really looking forward to embarking on my internship as it will be invaluable to me for life after I graduate, whatever I do.
The Excel Southampton Internship Programme is a paid opportunity supported by the Careers and Employability Service at the University of Southampton
Hi Zarah
I work in the Hartley Library and were looking for some students who might be able to give up some time to help with a (Library services and Academic skills support) promotional video.
Looking for about four students representing a range of gender/backgrounds who could perform in a short narrative video for distribution on Youtube. No payment involved, though we have some £15 Amazon vouchers to hand out to any helpful students.
I am casting the net fairly wide right now to a range of students across all of our sites in Southampton. Would this be of any interest to students involved with drama at UoS.
