My name is Bianca Luna and I am a first year PhD student with the School of Geography and Environmental Science. I am interested in learning about peoples’ migration experiences as I too, migrated to the UK at a very young age. In turn, my personal experiences of migrating to the UK inspired me to dedicate my PhD research to the Filipino diaspora.

My name is Ailish Craig and I am in the first year of my PhD within Geography and Environmental Science. My geography undergraduate degree and a volunteer trip to Nicaragua, sparked my interest in food security in rural communities.

I am Winfred Dotse-Gborgbortsi a first year PhD student from Ghana and an aspiring spatial epidemiologist. My background is in public health, specifically health information management. Previously, I studied Public Health at the University of Ghana where I heard about and collaboratedwith academics from Southampton.

Rachel Houweling is a postgraduate research student in the Geography and Social Science Department at the University of Southampton. Rachel worked as an Occupational Therapist for a number of years and more recently completed a Masters in Public Health (University of Newcastle, Australia) and a Masters in Social Research Methods (University of Southampton).
