Talk on plastic pollution for the Royal Society of Chemistry – Dr Malcolm Hudson

On 22 November 2018 Malcolm Hudson gave an invited lecture entitled ‘Plastic Pollution- should we be worried?’ to the Royal Society of Chemistry at the
National Oceanography Centre- exploring the environmental issues to an audience with an industrial background. Malcolm, who leads the University’s Marine Plastic Pollution Special Interest Group (https://www.southampton.ac.uk/smmi/academics/marine-plastics.page) set out the work we are doing here to understand better the environmental processes involved, and the scientific methods we are developing, as well as considering the possible risks to ecosystems and humans.
