Today we are celebrating the research success of Sandra Wilks,Ā Senior Research Fellow in Biological Sciences.
Sandra won the Research Novelty prize at the Institute for Mechanical Engineering (IMechE) conference – Incontinence: The Engineering Challenge XI in November 2017 for her Ā poster āThe use of micro-computed tomography and advanced imaging techniques to study crystalline biofilm blockages in urinary cathetersā
Sandra was also involved in an interesting NAMRIP funded project on infection prevention with Emma Roe, Paul Hurley and Charlotte Veal (Geography), Xunli Zhang and Robert Zmijan (Engineering) and Jacqui Prieto and Lisette Schoonhoven (Health Sciences) called Mapping Microbes that lead to the production of this video resource.
