Dr Gill Rider, Chair of Council at the University of Southampton

A policy briefing on gender equality at work takes place in London this week at which the University Chair of Council, Dr Gill Rider will speak on a panel with others including Baroness Margaret Prosser (Member of the House of Lords), Ceri Goddard (Fawcett Society), Scarlett Harris (TUC) and Lena Levy (CBI).

The briefing will take place on Thursday, 11 June from 18:00 to 21:00, Portcullis House, The Macmillan Room, London.

This event marks the launch of the University’s Work Futures Research Centre report ‘Gender Equality at Work 2015: New Policies for Old Challenges’ authored by University of Southampton Professors Pauline Leonard, Susan Halford, Cathy Pope and others and sponsored by the Public Policy Institute and the Interdisciplinary Research Excellence at Southampton.

This event follows a successful session previously hosted by the research team in 2013, entitled ‘Gender Equality at Work: How far have we come and how far have we still got to go?’

Dr Rider will speak in front of a diverse audience of MPs, Members of the House of Lords, journalists, business and civil society and researchers.
