The annual conference of the Association for Medical Education in Europe (AMEE) is established as the key meeting for all involved in medical and healthcare professions education including teachers, educationists, researchers, administrators and students. AMEE 2019 was held in Vienna, Austria in August.
Several members of the Medical Education Innovation Network (MEIN) attended and Dr Martina Johnson gave a presentation on behalf of the group entitled, ‘What does innovation mean and look like? A perspective from the Medical Education Innovation Network (MEIN)’. The group are working on a pilot study exploring the notion of innovation in Higher Education, what it means to key education-focused staff at the University Of Southampton and whether or not innovation really matters.
