The Centre for Higher Education Practice (CHEP) provides opportunities for academic professional development (Education, Research and Knowledge Exchange & Enterprise (KEE)) for all staff across the university.
We achieve this by working with partners across the university to make available a wide range of professional learning activities, ranging from formal courses and programmes, through faculty-based workshops and networks, to the production of resources and the sharing of good practice. Our aim is to ensure that all professional learning activities are provided in meaningful and contextualised formats, addressing the needs of diverse groups and individuals.
Our key commitments
- We will provide opportunities for all academic staff and PGRs to meet and evidence University agreed standards of competence & excellence in all areas of academic practice, throughout their academic careers.
- We will provide support that aligns to the University strategy with CHEP taking a leading role in numerous University wide enhancement projects and activities.
- We will cultivate a model of partnership delivery that promotes a community of practice and “One Team” culture to academic activities as well as our “Triple Helix” approach.
- We will ensure high quality, evidence-informed activity that can demonstrate impact and that aligns with both individual needs and the University Strategy.
Whether you have a question, suggestion, or just want to meet us and find out what we do, we would be delighted to hear from you.
