UoS3 will fly 3D printed parts onboard.
3D printing is a relatively new manufacturing technique and the CubeSat will fly parts made this way to test the method.
UoS3 will take several photographs from low earth orbit and relay them to the ground.

UoS3 gives students the opportunity to gain valuable hands on experience during their time at university.
This will equip them with many skills they can use throughout the rest of their careers in the space industry.
UoS3 shall record precise orbit and attitude data that will be used to validate re-entry prediction tools.
UoS3 when launched will not only be the first CubeSat, but also the first satellite flown by the University of Southampton.
