The project has an exciting week ahead, with our first Community Workshop taking place on Tuesday 29th August, at the Round About Café in Swaythling!

The workshop will be a drop in style event, leaving people free to come by anytime betwDHw9BswW0AAN6hE.jpg-largeeen 11am and 3:30pm. The aim is to work with the community, to generate ideas for a WW1 Swaythling Heritage Trail that will take place in November. Maps, photos, and objects will be on display for people to browse, and we also have the Pompey Pals joining us from Portsmouth, bringing their own artefacts! The Remount Depot and the US Naval Airfield will be featured, along with other points of WW1 interest in Swaythling.

We want the community of Swaythling to come together, and be a part of the project, creating a legacy in their local area. We think it is very important for the community to have their say, and to tell us what they find most interesting about our research.

Tuesday is set to be an insightful and exciting day. More on this soon!
