In addition to mapping the broader \u2018tradition of critique\u2019 underpinning the arts and humanities, the seminar\u00a0offers a \u2018neutral\u2019, deconstructive space for a live reading of epistemological, ethical and political matters.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><em><a href=\"http:\/\/blog.soton.ac.uk\/wsapgr\/category\/spotlight\/\">Research Notes<\/a>\u00a0<\/em>: Postgraduate researchers regularly contribute to the blog offering accounts of\u00a0their research and report on their participation in conferences, exhibitions and events.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><em><a href=\"http:\/\/blog.soton.ac.uk\/wsapgr\/category\/events\/\">Events<\/a><\/em>:<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>postgraduate researchers and staff engage in and devise a wide range of events on and off campus, including exhibitions, <a href=\"http:\/\/blog.soton.ac.uk\/wsapgr\/phd-seminar-series\/\">seminars<\/a>, screenings, symposia and festivals. All researchers\u00a0are encouraged to help develop an on-going programme of events.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><em>Collaborative Projects<\/em>: Postgraduate researchers engage in a range of collaborative projects with staff and fellow researchers in the School and from other universities. Recent projects have included a group exhibition,\u00a0<a title=\"Practices of Research\" href=\"http:\/\/blog.soton.ac.uk\/wsapgr\/2014\/01\/26\/practices-of-research\/\">Practices of Research<\/a>;\u00a0a collaboration with the\u00a0Radical Media Forum (at Goldsmiths),\u00a0<a title=\"Working with Images\" href=\"http:\/\/blog.soton.ac.uk\/wsapgr\/2014\/03\/07\/working-with-images\/\">Working with Images<\/a>; a performative practice-based &#8216;research centre&#8217;, <a title=\"The Grey Institute\" href=\"http:\/\/blog.soton.ac.uk\/wsapgr\/2014\/03\/18\/the-grey-institute\/\">The Grey Institute<\/a>; the <a title=\"Phenomenology &amp; Imagination Research\" href=\"http:\/\/blog.soton.ac.uk\/wsapgr\/phenomenology-and-imagination-research-group\/\">Phenomenology and Imagination Research Group<\/a>; and an AHRC funded project, offering a set of workshops and a collaborative e-pubcliation,\u00a0<a title=\"Looking at Images\" href=\"http:\/\/blog.soton.ac.uk\/wsapgr\/looking-at-images\/\">Looking at Images: A Researcher&#8217;s Guide<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.southampton.ac.uk\/wsa\/research\/index.page\"><em>Wider Research Community<\/em><\/a>: Postgraduate research takes place within the context of the School&#8217;s wider research community. As\u00a0 part of the University of Southampton \u2013 a Russell Group, research-intensive university &#8211; Winchester\u00a0School of Art\u00a0is recognised as an international centre for research in global art and design, culture and communication. Postgraduates can attend regular Staff Seminars, and enjoy\u00a0the insights of a wide range of visiting scholars, practitioners and critics\u00a0as part of the School&#8217;s Centre of Global Futures Guest Speaker Series.
