Whilst most research has stemmed from using human and animal cells, it wasn&#8217;t until I came across <a href=\"https:\/\/obj.ca\/ottawa-founders-spiderwort-regenerate-parts-of-human-body\/\">this news story<\/a> that opened my mind up to the possibility of growing organs and body parts from just an apple or asparagus. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"What are STEM CELLS?
