Were you one of the 3,700 students who attended?

The October Fairs kicked off with the All Sectors Fair on 19th October 2017.  A staggering 106 companies exhibited, showcasing their graduate opportunities and work experience roles within a vast number of industry sectors.  There was a real buzz throughout the day, with a final student attendance of over 2000.  Students enjoyed networking  with companies they may not have even heard of before, as well as grabbing freebies and soaking in the atmosphere.  One student who attended, Elliott Wong (BSc Politics and Economics) said:

“[The All Sectors Fair] provided tremendous insight into what I can do with my degree.  A must attend!”

On the second day (20th October) it was the return of our long-standing IT, Science and Engineering Fair.  Again, with 106 graduate recruiters exhibiting and over 1700 students who attended, the day was filled with student positivity about their future.  They also had great things to say about the day including:

“Employers were engaging and informative.  I came away with more opportunities than I can believe” – Benita MacKay (Master of Physics student).

The employers, too, enjoyed meeting all of our eager and knowledgeable students:

“Great students, good questions and lovely atmosphere.” (Aldi, All Sectors Fair Exhibitor). “It was a really interesting day, met a good range of potential students.” (Procter & Gamble, IT, Science & Engineering Fair exhibitor).

Does this all sound so positive that you wished you attended or would you like to attend again?  Fear not, the Careers and Employability Service is holding a Spring Fair on 6th March 2018.  Also taking place in the sports hall and a large variety of graduate recruiters exhibitors are expected.  Find out more HERE

The October Fairs will also be taking place again next year with the All Sectors Fair on 18th October 2018 and the IT, Science & Engineering Fair on 19th October 2018.
