The ECS GDP<\/a> finished fabricating their first PCB\u00a0today. \u00a0The PCB combines the payload<\/a> package,\u00a0computer and data-handling unit<\/a> on to a single board to save valuable space inside the 1U CubeSat.<\/p>\n

Rigorous testing will follow to ensure the board, computer and sensors perform as expected.<\/p>\n

Initial testing of the gyroscopes can be seen in the graph below. \u00a0The\u00a0module has been left in\u00a0a steady state to show the noise produced and the need for post processing the data with\u00a0a Kalman filter<\/a>. This shows communication with the gyroscope has\u00a0been achieved and that the gyroscope is functioning as expected.<\/p>\n
