Dr. Priyanka Singh<\/strong><\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Dr. Priyanka Singh is the Theano Webmaster. She is currently working as a Data Scientist for ASV Ltd. ASV is the leading developer of Unmanned and Autonomous Marine Systems. She is working in the R&D team to build an image recognition system for autonomous boats using Deep Neural Networks.<\/p>\n

After she finished\u00a0her MSc in Web Technology from the University of Southampton, Priyanka continued on to do her PhD in Semantic Search Algorithms. She studied social networks and Q&A systems and applied AI techniques to improve search and information retrieval in these systems.<\/span><\/p>\n

Priyanka got involved in various research projects while working as a Research Software Engineer in the Electronics and Computer Science department. She has always worked to promote girls and women in STEM. She played a key role in an international organisation called “CodeFirst” which teaches female students coding.<\/p>\n

When she is not working, Priyanka enjoys running and hiking. She also develops games and takes part in game development competitions with her friends; she has won many international awards. Priyanka also loves travelling and exploring new places and cuisines.
