Welcome to the Homepage of the Ethnographic Encounters Website
The Ethnographic Encounters project, funded by the Higher Education Academy, aims to engage students in an innovative process of encounter and reflection during the Year Abroad. From February 2014-September 2015, materials and support have been developed for students carrying out ethnographic research during their Residence Abroad, encouraging reflexive intercultural learning and developing research skills.
This site contains practical information about planning and conducting an ethnographic project during the year abroad, external links, secondary reading and general information about ethnography for students.
