About me
I am a second year student studying for a BA in History at the University of Southampton. I have a keen interest in sports and well being, in particular netball as I am the current vice captain of the intra-mural history netball team at University. I am also the appointed Treasurer for the History Society, a role that I will take on during my second year at Southampton. In my spare time, I enjoy reading literature, experiencing various cultures and exploring a variety of historical sites.

Digital Literacies Champion
Alongside my studies, I am an ‘iChamp’. This means I work with University staff to enhance the learning of students within the history department. I am currently working on a project with my academic supervisor (Eleanor Quince, Twitter: @eleanorquince) to enhance the learning of third year history students in their chosen special subject area.

TEL Conference
As an iChamp, I participated in the Technology Enhanced Learning Conference (TEL) that took place at the University of Southampton on the 29th April 2015. My role included raising the profile of the conference using social media, recording the events of the day in note form using various online platforms (i.e. DropBox) and networking with important individuals in the field of digital literacy.
