You can edit the graph.gp using emacs or your prefered editor.<\/li>\n<li>Then compile it to generate an eps file using this command:\n<ul>\n<li><strong>gnuplot graph.gp<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>This <span style=\"text-decoration: none\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.pvv.ntnu.no\/%7Eberland\/gptex2eps\">example<\/a><\/span><\/span> teaches you how to use latex inside gnuplot. You may not need this advanced step.<\/li>\n<li>Install gnuplot in Mac: <span class=\"comment-copy\"><code>brew install gnuplot<\/code><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Alternatively, you may also try <span style=\"text-decoration: none\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman\"><a href=\"\/\/southampton.ac.uk\/~sxn\/tutorial\/tutorial-gle.html\">GLE<\/a><\/span><\/span> for plotting graphs. You can use GLE at lyceum:\n<ul>\n<li>First log into lyceum2 using -X: <strong>ssh -X lyceum2.soton.ac.uk<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>When you are in lyceum, type in the command: <strong>module load gle<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Now you can generate gle plots (.eps format) using this command like:\n<ul>\n<li><strong>gle awgn-capacity-mqam.gle<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>View them using &#8216;evince&#8217; command as detailed below.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>You can use &#8216;evince&#8217; to view .eps or .ps file in lyceum:\n<ul>\n<li>evince graph.eps<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Alternatively, you can convert .eps file to .pdf file and then view the .pdf file using acroread:\n<ul>\n<li>epstopdf graph.eps<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>acroread graph.pdf<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>You can print multiple gle plots (.eps) into one A4 page using this <a href=\"https:\/\/secure.ecs.soton.ac.uk\/notes\/sxn\/msc\/a4output.tgz\">scripts<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>You may use gnuplot to plot your simulation data into graph.
