Also accessible via the A34 from Newbury and Oxford.<\/p>\n<p><strong>By rail:<\/strong> just an hour by direct train from London Waterloo, Winchester is also on direct routes from Southampton, Portsmouth, Bournemouth, Weymouth, Birmingham and the north of England.
