{"id":210,"date":"2018-04-30T15:59:21","date_gmt":"2018-04-30T14:59:21","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/generic.wordpress.soton.ac.uk\/pops\/?p=210"},"modified":"2018-05-01T23:41:15","modified_gmt":"2018-05-01T22:41:15","slug":"scenarios-and-storyboards","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/generic.wordpress.soton.ac.uk\/pops\/2018\/04\/30\/scenarios-and-storyboards\/","title":{"rendered":"Scenarios and Storyboards"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1>Scenarios<\/h1>\n<p>Scenarios are used to describe how users will interact with other users and the system.<\/p>\n<p><b>Scenario 1<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Purpose<\/b>: Scenario that describes how the application restricts access to non-University of Southampton students<\/p>\n<p><b>Individual<\/b>: Felix \u2013 3rd-year student studying Fashion at Solent University<\/p>\n<p><b>Equipment<\/b>: Any smartphone with access to the internet<\/p>\n<p>Scenario:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Felix is on his way home from lectures, on the bus he overhears some students talking about a hobby link app.<\/li>\n<li>He takes note of the app and downloads it from the app store<\/li>\n<li>Once he launches the app, he is asked to log in<\/li>\n<li>Felix inputs his university email and a password<\/li>\n<li>He sees an error message that says \u201c<b>Sorry, this app is only available to University of Southampton students! We may be coming to your Uni soon :)\u201d.<\/b><\/li>\n<li>Disappointed, he closes the app, with the hopes that one day his Uni will have access.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" email<\/p>\n<p><b>Individual<\/b>: Xao \u2013 fresher at the UoS<\/p>\n<p><b>Equipment<\/b>: Any smartphone with access to the internet<\/p>\n<p>Scenario:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Xao was told about a hobby link app on his induction day<\/li>\n<li>He downloads it from the app store<\/li>\n<li>He inputs his UoS email and a password<\/li>\n<li>The registration was a success<\/li>\n<li>Xao then proceeds to 3<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Purpose<\/b>: Scenario that describes how a user registers and chooses interests<\/p>\n<p><b>Individual<\/b>: Leo \u2013 Leo is a fresher studying Law at the UoS<\/p>\n<p><b>Equipment<\/b>: Any smartphone with access to the internet<\/p>\n<p>Scenario:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Leo opens the app<\/li>\n<li>He clicks the \u2018register\u2019 button<\/li>\n<li>He inputs his University of Southampton email address, name, hobbies etc.<\/li>\n<li>Once authenticated, he is then presented with a series of cards with various hobbies<\/li>\n<li>He swipes (left or right) based on his preferences<\/li>\n<li>Once he completes this he is taken to the \u2018matches\u2019 page<\/li>\n<li>Here, he can see a list of users who he has been matched to<\/li>\n<li>He clicks the \u2018link\u2019 button on Shauna\u2019s profile<\/li>\n<li>He then views her profile<\/li>\n<li>He sees that like him, she likes reading books and is also a Law student<\/li>\n<li>He sends student<\/p>\n<p><b>Equipment<\/b>: Any smartphone with access to the internet<\/p>\n<p>Scenario:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Whitney registers for the app and sets her hobbies\/interests as \u2018Gospel music, arts and fashion\u2019<\/li>\n<li>After one week of using the app, Whitney receives a chat request from Maxine<\/li>\n<li>After looking at Maxine\u2019s profile and seeing that they both love Gospel music, she accepts the request<\/li>\n<li>They both have a long conversation about their favourite artists<\/li>\n<li>Maxine invites Whitney to a Choir concert being organised by the
