We are one of six research groups in Ocean and Earth Science at the University of Southampton. We are based at the National Oceanography Centre, Southampton. In our research, we seek to understand, quantify and predict the physical character of the ocean, and the dynamic processes that control its circulation and mixing, and its links through to shelf seas and the coast.
Our group is made up of 15 academic staff and support staff members and up to 30 PhD students and postdocs. The purpose of this blog is to highlight our research and the impact it is having.
