Personas are useful to give realistic, yet totally fictitious, representations to help get inside the mind of the person the system is being designed for.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The stakeholder analysis and the personas are very useful to the project, and will allow us to formulate requirements and plans for functionality that exactly meet the needs of the target user.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Stakeholder Analysis<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Primary Stakeholders \u2013 those who use the system<\/li>\n<li>Secondary Stakeholders \u2013 don\u2019t directly interact but provide input or receive output<\/li>\n<li>Tertiary Stakeholders \u2013 are affected by the system<\/li>\n<li>Facilitating \u2013 People involved in the design and development<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<table width=\"498\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td width=\"20\"><\/td>\n<td width=\"85\"><strong>Type<\/strong><\/td>\n<td width=\"128\"><strong>Stakeholder<\/strong><\/td>\n<td width=\"266\"><strong>Description<\/strong><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td width=\"20\">1<\/td>\n<td width=\"85\">Primary<\/td>\n<td width=\"128\">Online Marketer<\/td>\n<td width=\"266\">Online marketers will use the system to ask questions or to look for people selling services that they wish to use. They will not use the system to sell their own products to the public.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td width=\"20\">2<\/td>\n<td width=\"85\">Primary<\/td>\n<td width=\"128\">Seller of enabling services<\/td>\n<td width=\"266\">These people will use the network to advertise their products, for example web design or call centre services. They may also help answer questions asked by the online marketers.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td width=\"20\">3<\/td>\n<td width=\"85\">Primary<\/td>\n<td width=\"128\">Community Moderator<\/td>\n<td width=\"266\">A community moderator will either be an online marketer or a seller of enabling services. They will moderate the content of the network and will be notified of potential violations by other users.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td width=\"20\">4<\/td>\n<td width=\"85\">Primary<\/td>\n<td width=\"128\">System Moderator<\/td>\n<td width=\"266\">The system moderator will moderate the content of the social network. They will have issues referred to them by community moderators.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td width=\"20\">5<\/td>\n<td width=\"85\">Secondary<\/td>\n<td width=\"128\">Trust Machine Developer<\/td>\n<td width=\"266\">The system will be affected by user ratings given by the trust machine. A Trust machine developer will have to ensure the connection between the network and the trust machine.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td width=\"20\">6<\/td>\n<td width=\"85\">Tertiary<\/td>\n<td width=\"128\">Customer<\/td>\n<td width=\"266\">If an online marketer makes a decision based on something they have gained from the network, the customers will be affected. This will either be because they buy the product based on the decision, or not.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td width=\"20\">7<\/td>\n<td width=\"85\">Tertiary<\/td>\n<td width=\"128\">Suppliers<\/td>\n<td width=\"266\">The suppliers will have to supply more or less as a result of a shift in customer demand caused by the Buccaneer network.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td width=\"20\">8<\/td>\n<td width=\"85\">Facilitating<\/td>\n<td width=\"128\">System Developer<\/td>\n<td width=\"266\">They are responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the network.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Further to my recent post on deriving who our target users are, in this blog post I have formulated this into a more \u2018formal\u2019 stakeholder analysis.
