About us

The MIT PhD programme is student-focused, and it aims to support development of independent, inquisitive researches leading programmes in translational immunology in the future. Students are supported and mentored by academics with excellent research track record, and inspired to independence as well as tutored in novel experimental methodologies.

The programme has been designed to provide project-specific training to support student led studies, including the use of our state-of-the-art facilities in imaging, microscopy, histology, flow cytometry and bioinformatics. The students are encouraged to formulate their independent research question/hypothesis for the PhD, and they take a lead role in design of the PhD project. The mentoring academic team will support students in designing their own multidisciplinary training needs analysis, as well as present them the broad range of career opportunities within and outside of academia.
