The MRC LEC hosts research programmes at all levels of undergraduate and postgraduate medical training, from undergraduate medical student research projects, to 4-month research secondments as part of the Academic Clinical Foundation Programme Our particular expertise is in identifying talented young clinicians, and providing the mentoring and guidance necessary to secure a steady pipeline of academically-able, committed clinical academics with the skills to needed forge a successful long-term independent career. A particular strength of this Centre is its excellent international collaborations.  We welcome approaches from young clinicians interested in getting involved in epidemiological research, who should approach Professor Elaine Dennison (who is also Director of Southampton Clinical Academic Trainees, see https:\/\/www.southampton.ac.uk\/medicine\/research\/clinical_academic_training.page<\/a>)<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
