By addressing some fundamental human questions and by investigating the mind-body connection, students will develop a more holistic approach to patient care and will gain further insights into the patient\u2019s experience. Philosophy allows medical students to become more compassionate and aware that a patient is not merely a body affected by specific symptoms but a person with their own life story, feelings and
