Bristol Events in October!

The Man Food project has been progressing well, and we’ve just finished the last of eight workshops with groups of men in Bristol. They’ve been such a rich source of discussion and reflection, and we’ve thoroughly enjoyed meeting, and cooking and talking with all of the men who’ve taken part.

While we’ve yet to fully analyse the data from the workshops – transcribing audio, reviewing drawn-on tablecloths, looking at Whatsapp photo food diaries – we’ve had plenty of food for thought. We’re looking forward to sharing some of these with a wider public, through a couple of events during Bristol’s Healthy City Week.

The first of these will be an interactive discussion, ‘Meat of the Matter’, on Tues 10th October, at Junction 3 Library in Easton. We’re presenting this in partnership with our friends at Flexitarian Bristol and Bristol Libraries, and there will be lovely food for everyone.

We’re also thrilled to be presenting a new performance audio walk ‘And All the Men We Saw Today‘, by project artists-in-residence Joanna Young, Kip Johnson and Jamie McCarthy.  The walk will be running for set performances on 11th and 14th October, but spaces are limited – do book a ticket early to avoid disappointment.
