To be specific, to check if the student is suffering from tuberculosis(TB).<\/p>\n<p>Tuberculosis is an infectious disease that affects the lungs and to a certain extent, other parts of the body. Biased on\u00a0&#8220;Tuberculosis Fact sheet N\u00b0104&#8221;. <i>WHO<\/i>.\u00a0The classic symptoms of active TB are a chronic cough with blood-containing sputum, fever, night sweats, and weight loss.<\/p>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/image.shutterstock.com\/z\/stock-photo-forbidden-sign-no-tb-tuberculosis-201852229.jpg?resize=235%2C260\" width=\"235\" height=\"260\" \/><\/p>\n<p>As tuberculosis is the widely accepted as the second-most common cause of death from infectious disease, the UK government has made it mandatory that Malaysians\u00a0that will be staying in the UK for more than 6 months have to be tested negative before they can be cleared for their visa application.<\/p>\n<p>The hospital that I visited in Ampang, Kuala Lumpur, was commendably quick and with efficient staff. The receptionists were surprisingly polite and helpful, the technicians professional, and the doctors friendly and knowledgeable.
