To commemorate my first post on the USMC blog, I shall write this post whilst enjoying a cup of hot coffee, my first love.<\/p>\n

Now, I\u2019m ready.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
With two assignments and one online test (all due the following week) residing under my to-do list, classes for the week ended on a beautiful Friday afternoon. The last lecture of the day was Math where, as usual, Dr. Gan does his best to squeeze in as much material as possible into the lecture.<\/p>\n
You\u2019re the best, Dr. Gan!<\/p>\n
That evening, I had to attend my netball club\u2019s weekly training which are held at a basketball court and played with a basketball.<\/p>\n
We need funds.<\/p>\n
The sky was dark by the time training was over and the team went out to grab some dinner. I knocked out the moment I got back to my room at the student hostel afterwards.<\/p>\n
That was the end of Day 1 of where I needed to complete my assignments.<\/p>\n
Productive, I\u2019d say.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
– The following day –<\/p>\n
Saturday was the day the Dota 2 tournament organised by the Student Association started but it was also the day that the University of Reading held its Open Day.<\/p>\n
Conclusion: Food always comes first.<\/p>\n
I made a stop at the university in the morning to see how the tournament was going, only to watch my classmates lose to our juniors. Good job anyways, guys.<\/p>\n
It was then off to Reading for lunch.<\/p>\n
Sadly, only tea time food was served unlike the previous Open Days they had. That said, I absolutely enjoyed the free banana cake and curry puffs.<\/p>\n
Their campus was also as amazing as ever.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n After that, I headed back to the hostel to work on my paper plane folding skills as there was a Paper Plane Competition (organised by the USMC IET On Campus) later that day.<\/p>\n On the way to the sports complex for the competition.<\/p>\n The life of a student with no car.<\/p>\n Not bad at all.<\/p>\n Now, let the paper plane competition begin!<\/p>\n More photos on\u00a0flickr<\/a>.<\/p>\n Well, all that practice I did was for naught as I didn\u2019t win any prize money.<\/p>\n That aside, do check out the photos<\/a> and videos<\/a> taken by the event crew as well because they are awesome.<\/p>\n And show them some support by liking their Facebook<\/a> page!<\/p>\n <\/p>\n End of Day 2.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n While some of my friends started off their Sunday by competing in the second day of the Dota 2 tournament, I started mine off doing some chores.<\/p>\n The tournament finals was about to start by the time I was done and so I decided to become a spectator.<\/p>\n An hour later and Round 1 refused to end.<\/p>\n I had to take my leave as I was going to the Daiwa House\u2019s Japanese Music Festival held at Sunway Iskandar Sales Gallery. Rather than a music festival, it was more like a short series of performances. The event was held to showcase Sunway Bhd. and Daiwa House\u2019s new housing development project and other upcoming projects at Sunway Iskandar.<\/p>\n AUN, a band consisting of twin brothers, performing with traditional Japanese instruments.<\/p>\n D<\/a>SC_0069<\/a><\/p>\n Both brothers on the shamisen.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Japanese paper lanterns (these ones known as chouchin<\/em>) galore.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Plans of the future.<\/p>\n \u00a0\u00a0 <\/p>\n Day 3 (i.e. My weekend) ended with good food,<\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/a><\/a><\/a><\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a>
