Leighton T.G.<\/em><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Professor Leighton was invited by the UK Institute of Acoustics to provide a press briefing document and accompanying journal article to record his thoughts and impressions of the landing by NASA of their Mars Perseverance vehicle. This was because he had for many years been an advocate for deploying acoustic sensors on planetary explorers, via articles, the design of instruments, and meetings with planetary exploration communities in UK, Europe and USA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
